Happy Father’s Day, Abba

I know that today is Father’s Day; as we honor the Fathers in our lives, let’s not forget our Heavenly Father. The one who created the heaven and earth, and each one of us.  Maybe your earthly father is present, maybe he is absent, maybe you never had a physical father figure. That is okay. We all have a great father, God. Some call him Abba (Mark 14:36). Just recently I have started to learn God as my true Abba. When things get hard, when I get discouraged, I call on Abba. I know Abba will come see about his child, and just like he will come see about me, he will come see about you. He will never leave us nor forsake us, he is always with us. Prayer: God, thank you for being Abba. Thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for us. Jesus, thank you for being our wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting father, and prince of peace.
